Why goddess inspired jewelry?
Honoring the goddess, the Divine Feminine, the intuition within each
of us, was once commonplace in ancient times. Matriarchal existence,
honoring women for their innate, powerful gifts and witnessing the
abundance that mother (the eternal Ma) provides, was a known awareness
for ancients and is still alive in many indigenous cultures today.
Where is She now? Why has She lost her place in our culture, our
communities, the fabric of life on Earth? This has always plagued me,
and still stirs my passion, my desires and my knowing.
I see Her expression of abundant wealth, beauty, power, dignity, grace, knowledge and strength surrounding me. I see her characteristics alive in men and women of all types, in Nature, in laughter, love, courage and compassion. I want Her to be alive in the hearts and minds of all like She is within me. My jewelry seeks to share the stories of goddesses of the past, bring them alive in the present, for the adorned and for me; reminding each wearer that she herself is indeed a goddess in flesh and form.
Beauty is powerful. Adorning oneself can be a powerful, spiritual act. When a goddess whispers in my ear, I listen. A piece of jewelry is created for her, to enliven her story. My work is an offering to her. My work is an offering to you.
